The NCC of SDS DEGREE COLLEGE unit was started in the year 2010 and it has 50 cadets. Students are encouraged to participate in outreach programmes to understand the problems of the society and become good citizens of the country.

National Cadet Crops (NCC) has been introduced at this college as a part of the academic programmes and since then NCC has been functioning as a regular feature in the realm of our college education. There are 50 Cadets and one.

The college has one NCC Unit under 14 Andhra Battalion Srikakulam range. The NCC wing is managed by trained faculty member. He will be in regular touch with Commanding Officer.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The College has one NCC sub unit with 108 Cadets 92 (Troups). The motto of the NCC “Unity and Discipline" is inculcated in the minds of the cadets to be responsible citizens.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To develop qualities of character, courage, command ship, discipline, leadership, and secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and selfless services among the youth to make them useful citizens.

To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life, including the armed forces and be always available for the service of the Nation.

Activities

The college encourages the students and faculty members to participate actively in various outreach programmes organized by NCC to inculcate a sense of social responsibility of local community. This has contributed to both community institution networking and development of institution. Awareness drives are conducted involve the participation of local communities including the target beneficiaries in following activities.

• Importance of NCC awareness programme.
• Health camp by NCC.
• Road Safety Rally by NCC.
• NCC participated in Yoga Day Celebrations.
