Recipes in a notebook. Dye and chemical consumption per lot is unknown until the supplier bill arrives.
Cone, ticket, length
One shade, six tickets, three cone lengths. Stock at the shade level is not enough to promise a delivery.

Yes, and forward again. Each dye lot carries its recipe, machine and QC result; cones wound from it carry the lot; despatches carry the cones. A customer complaint resolves to a lot in seconds.
Recipes are stored per shade and substrate. When a lot is dyed, the recipe becomes the standard issue, actual issue is recorded, and variance per lot is reported — so dye cost per kilogram is a number, not an estimate.
That is exactly the level the system is built for. Stock, pricing and order promising all work at shade × ticket × length, with lot underneath.
Each customer’s shade card is mapped to yours once. Their order comes in on their numbers, converts automatically, and the despatch documents show both.
